Windows 11 set to have even MORE AI intergration
Microsoft announces scheduled update for Windows 11, includes more AI
In a move that will likely have users groaning in exasperation, Microsoft has announced plans to pack even more artificial intelligence into Windows 11. Despite widespread complaints about the current level of bloat and performance issues, the tech giant seems determined to double down on its AI strategy, promising to integrate new "intelligent" features that most users never asked for.
Among the new additions are AI-driven suggestions for almost every task you can imagine, from opening apps to organizing files. The notorious Clippy, rebranded as "ClipAI," is set to make a return, popping up at the most inconvenient times to offer "helpful" tips and tricks. Furthermore, the AI will now monitor your usage patterns even more closely, leading to an endless stream of notifications and suggestions that are more distracting than useful.
As if that weren’t enough, Microsoft is also introducing a "Smart Performance Enhancer," which claims to optimize system resources but in reality seems to slow down even the most powerful machines with constant background processes. Users will also have to contend with a new AI-powered ad platform baked right into the Start Menu, serving up personalized ads based on your activities and searches.
For many, this news is the final nail in the coffin for their patience with Windows 11. As Microsoft continues to push AI integration, the operating system becomes increasingly sluggish and frustrating to use, leaving users wondering if their computers are serving them or the other way around.
This may also explain why Windows 11 continues to sit at 30% market share (of windows OSs) even after 3 years, in comparison to Windows 10's ludicrous-speed increase on release (see here), and why Linux is now becoming more popular as an alternative to the dumpster fire that is Windows 11.
